Alle Herschel Select XLS-panelen zijn uitgerust met een ingebouwde SMART-R XLS-ontvanger aan de achterkant van het paneel. 
Hierdoor kan het XLS-paneel draadloos (via RF) koppelen met de XLS-controller (afzonderlijk verkrijgbaar) en opdrachten ontvangen
om aan of uit te schakelen op basis van de kamertemperatuur en het programma.
